Give Peace a Chance?

 Why the world seems so invested in the Russia-Ukraine War is a mystery to me. War is always wrong and stupid and counter-productive. Always. Two third-world countries at war is a normal event in this age when the world’s military elite have everything to say in our day-to-day politics. Everyone in the American military establishmement if foaming at the mouth watching this skirmish roll out as more kindling is thrown on the fire, if you can call tens of billions of U.S. dollars in military hardware “kindling.” It’s like a group of pig farmers cheering on a hot dog eating contest, except they’re complicit in mass murder. 

Give peace a chance? Where’s the money in peace?

 

Royal Douche Bag

From today's New York Times we can read three (3) articles about a guy who has done nothing in his life except that he came out of a womb that was deemed royal in one country on the planet. The NYT is pushing this idiot's book as if he were a real writer, or as if he had something to say. I don't get it. If I had to guess, I'd say that his publisher is owned by the newspaper.

Stop Me if You've Heard this One Before...or Just Stop Me

This is a joke that needs a bit in the way of an introduction, which defeats the purpose of a joke, but here it goes. I saw a clip from the 1970s TV series Kung Fu on my YouTube feed and the first thing that popped into my head was how the PC police today would tear that show a new asshole for cultural appropriation or whatever. Here’s my joke: 

Did you know that the central character played by David Carradine was supposed to be half Chinese, but Carradine died from jerking off with a belt around his neck? 

Post joke explaining: It’s like it doesn't matter that he did the Chinese version of wearing blackface (I’m sure that some sanctimonious twat has invented a name for this outrage), Carradine paid his debt to society with his ignominious exit to this world. 

In closing, whenever I read about the death of someone famous, or famous enough to warrant a New York Times obituary, I jump directly to the cause of death. If there is no cause given, I automatically assume it was the result of auto-erotica asphyxiation.
