Republican Philosophy: Lie and Never Admit You Were Ever Wrong

Republicans are mostly criminals, especially those initially blaming the electrical grid crisis in Texas as the fault of alternative power sources. They’ve also been lying about the entire matter of deregulation of the power industry in Texas.

Every person on Fox News couldn't wait to blame wind energy for the recent collapse of the Texas power grid even though it was almost immediately determined that this wasn't the issue.

Mildest Winter in History?

This winter began with three very cold weeks, at least cold for Valencia standards. Since then, it’s been mostly blues skies and warm. It’s too bad that everything is closed and there are no terraces to enjoy the afternoon sun. We could still get another cold spell, but usually by mid-February the spring writing is on the wall.

I haven't had my heat on in over two weeks.

Guilty as Charged

I’ve been watching the impeachment trial of the former president. If this were a normal court case, his conviction would be a slam dunk. Unfortunately, Republican Senators are mostly either sycophants or cowardly and won’t vote to prosecute. If they choose not to convict, further violence will be on their hands. If he goes unchecked, I’m sure that Fuckface Von Clownstick will egg on more crowds of brain-dead MAGA creeps.

This video was broadcast even while his moronic minions were still rampaging through the corridors of the Capitol. Not only does he exhibit no remorse, but he is still harping on his bullshit claims of election fraud. He is a threat to our democracy.

From Winter to Late Spring & Life Without Cafés

We've gone from one of the coldest winters on record to one of the warmest in the span of one week. The warm weather has come at a good time because we are suffering through further restrictions because of Covid-19. Cafés are closed.

Spain without cafés… I don’t even know how to end that last sentence. It’s would be completely unimaginably except for the fact that this nightmare is our current reality making this semi-lock down more difficult than the first time around last March and April, at least for me. Life without this essential element of quotidian life has been depressing.

It's not only that I miss out on my afternoon cup of professional coffee, or a glass of wine at a bar later in the day, but it's not seeing other people out on the streets enjoying life that hits you.
