Why Are Muslims So Europhobic?

I simply turned around this article in the New York Times, Why Is Europe so Islamophobic?  He doesn’t mention the fact that Europe is mostly atheist, a state that has taken several centuries of struggle to attain. Now we're supposed to accept a group who wants to drag us back into medieval times where women are treated as property, abortion is a crime, sex outside of marriage is prohibited, and homosexuality is forbidden?

“France saw an increase of 52 percent of Islamophobic incidents”

The author fails to mention the attacks by Muslims targeting the French Jewish population. He also makes a lot of hay over the attacks on Muslims, but I could counter by saying that far more innocent Europeans have been murdered by Muslims than the opposite. He also fails to mention antisemitic attacks in Europe, many perpetrated by Muslims.
