With that, you should get the basics and be ready to move onto something that explains the differences between central Catalan and Valencian.<br /><br />The UV language school and the Escola Oficial d'Idiomes both offer course, but they're not free. Catalonia offers free basic classes in Catalan, but I couldn't find anything equivalent in Valencia.<br /><br />You might well find that if you make it out to more rural areas, you'll hear it more.
